FOX Entertainment Sets Up International Unscripted Format Fund
FOX Entertainment and FOX Alternative Entertainment (FAE) have established a $100 million international unscripted format fund to identify concepts for the global market.
The fund will invest in and develop internationally originated unscripted format concepts ranging from reality competitions and variety series to dating and other genres. FAE will co-produce series selected by the fund with each series’ partner.
Red Arrow Studios International Takes Rights to New Britney Doc
Red Arrow Studios International has acquired the international distribution rights to the feature-length documentary Controlling Britney Spears.
A follow-up to Framing Britney Spears, Controlling Britney Spears contains new allegations from insiders with knowledge of the pop icon’s daily life inside the conservatorship. It was produced in partnership by The New York Times and Left/Right, a Red Arrow Studios company.
BBC Studios Inks Presales for Universe & The Mating Game
BBC Studios has secured international presales for the science series Universe and the natural-history series The Mating Game.
A five-part series, Universe uses CGI imagery, scientific research and archival footage captured during scientific missions to immerse viewers in the story of the universe. The series has presold to Denmark (DR), France (France Télévisions), Germany (ZDFinfo), Canada (Radio-Canada), Norway (NRK) and Russia (Yandex).
Cineflix Productions Backs New Venture
Cineflix Productions and Ping Pong Productions have aligned to launch Shiny Screens Entertainment, a joint venture with showrunner Will Spjut.
The new production company, based in Los Angeles, will develop and produce unscripted series and formats for the global market. As part of the deal, Cineflix Rights has an exclusive first look to distribute Shiny Screens Entertainment content internationally when applicable.
The Format People & Litopos Align
The international format consultancy The Format People (TFP) and the Latin American content provider Litopos Producciones have formed a new strategic alliance.
The partnership will see the two companies create, develop and produce new unscripted formats aimed initially at the Latin American market, followed by an international rollout across multiple territories.
WNET Group & Love Nature Unveil The Ocean’s Greatest Feast
Love Nature and The WNET Group have teamed up for the new blue-chip documentary feature The Ocean’s Greatest Feast, which explores South Africa’s famous annual sardine run.
Produced by Earth Touch, the doc’s additional commissioning partners include Bonne Pioche Television (for France Télévisions) and SVT. Blue Ant International has worldwide distribution rights to the film, outside of its co-producing territories.

Food channel Gusto TV, home to Cook Like a Chef, has launched on FreeCast’s SelectTV service in the U.S.
All of Gusto TV’s programming is available on SelectTV, FreeCast’s service that aggregates all streaming media content, including free and paid, as well as linear and on-demand video.
