Mattel Teams with 9 Story for Barney, Angelina Ballerina Reboots CANNES, October 7: The classic kids' brands Barney & Friends and Angelina Ballerina are set for a comeback thanks to a long-term pact between Mattel, its preschool subsidiary HIT Entertainment and 9 Story Media Group. Zorro the Chronicles Scores International Sales CANNES, October 7: On the heels of its MIPJunior World Premiere Screening, Cyber Group Studios' Zorro the Chronicles has been snapped up by broadcasters around the world. KiKA Adds The Avatars to Lineup MADRID, October 7: German kids' channel KiKA has picked up the free-TV rights for The Avatars, a scripted series represented by Boomerang TV International.

Rainbow's My American Friend Begins Filming LONDON, October 7: My American Friend, a tentatively titled new live-action series from Rainbow, has begun filming in Rome. Jim Henson Co.
